November 05, 1957 Princeton NJ US Professor Married 3 Hamilton (Berkeley Heights), Sternberger (N.C.)

I'm looking forward to reconnecting to Summit -- my connections went down fast when my parents moved away shortly after SHS and  my friends scattered far and wide.
After college I moved to California, in the San Francisco/Palo Alto area, where I worked and went to grad school and met my wife (Chris).  We did an unusual thing (moved back East) and I have been a professor at Princeton, about 60 minutes from Summit, for 24 years now.  Hard to believe I am much older already than my parents were when I was at SHS -- guess they weren't that old then.

I had plans to come to the Sunday brunch at our Thanksgiving weekend reunion 15 years ago, but a canceled airplane ended that plan.  I  exchanged some emails with my Summit backyard basketball and occasional car-fixing partner Jay Sperco, whose house was directly behind mine, about 5-10 years ago after running into him somehow on the internet -- he was living in the southwest (Arizona?).  And the same with Ted Nickerson about 5 years ago (Mississippi?).    David Stern (Houston) and I exchange an Xmas card every few years but its been years since we talked.  Lee Sullivan and I lived in the same town outside of Princeton 15 years ago, and I have some vague recollection of running into Tina Seeling in Palo Alto 25 years ago.    That's about it.

I did get back to Summit a few times lately -- my daughter's ice hockey team had a few games at Beacon Hill.  I looked at the parents of the BH team carefully to see if I recognized anyone, but no luck.  Also her high school team played Summit HS every year.  They are the only two public high schools with girls ice hockey in NJ.   (Princeton won every year!)

Anyway, who remembers all those Saturday morning chemistry labs with Miss Johnson in 11th grade?  I tracked her down and talked to her last year.  She is retired near Summit.  She was perhaps the most inspiring teacher I had in SHS.   Maybe we can invite her to part of the weekend or something.

Many of my friends were the math/science crowd.  Where are you all now ?-- Mark Wynnemar (Florida if I believe google) ,Ted Senator, Walter Zengerle , George Rittersbach....

March 29, 1957 Minneapolis MN US Clinical Social Worker Committed Relationship Eclectic!!
Whoa-Still crazy after all these 35 years!! The first 10 felt like I would be a professional student, until I figured it was time to make a little cash. I did return to Jersey (Rutger's, New Brunswick) to get my Master's in Social Work, specializing in Healthcare. Spent 17 years at a VA hospital, working mainly with HIV patients, which I loved. Decided time to leave, and went to the Number One Trauma Center (aka county hospital!!) to continue in HIV, then switched a few years ago to the Emergency Department; subsequently, never a dull moment. No marriages, and at this point in my life, that's fine with me. The committed relationship has been ongoing for 14 years, which suits both of us. No kids, but have been an AFS parent to a girl from Chile, and a boy from Thailand. I now have a second family in Bangkok, and visit them every few years. Basically working to travel, having visited all continents but Antarctica. Have a good friend who loves adventure, which works well-we're heading off to Israel, Jordan and Egypt next week. Thailand and Turkey still my favorite countries, so far. Planning for India and Nepal after the reunion. So, after the crazy job, and racing around the world, I like to relax by putzing in my garden, and entertaining my geriatric kitty! Send Leslie a MessageSend Leslie a Message

April 13, 1957 New Providence NJ Software Development (Consultant) www.williamhwhite.biz Divorced 3 Lincoln Anything EXCEPT Billy Joel and Phil Collins (yuck!!)
I think I filled something out already on this site.  Oui??!!  Ok...  I've lived in the area since college, and in New Providence since '87 or so.  I have jumped around a bit with the career - 3 yrs at Aircast w/ Jimby Johnson, 8 yrs in advertising, 14 on Wall Street, and IT for the past 4 yrs.  (Still hoping one day to fulfill my dream of going into dance....)  Got an MBA along the way there.  I think I stripped a few gears with each career change along the way, and the past couple of years were particularly rough, but I just recently landed a great consulting assignment at Citibank and feel pretty good that this is turning point.  Oh, I quit drinking back almost 20 yrs or so, too.  (Whatever....)  Re family & such I got married young ('80) - which had the benefit of my being relatively young when I got divorced ( '01) ;=>   Have had a couple of LTRs in the years since, but have yet to dive back into that pool they call marriage.  In the meantime I have 3 boys, all in their 20s, who are doing marvellously - and I have a great relationship with each one of them.  And, at this stage of the game, what more can one ask out of life than that?    Send William (Bill) a MessageSend William (Bill) a Message
